Head of Legal

A renowned global financial services firm is looking for a Head of Legal. The selected candidate will manage legal risks, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide proactive legal solutions to support business development.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the Legal Department operates effectively and identifies legal risks
• Delegate legal risk management tasks to external lawyers when appropriate
• Implement and maintain procedures and controls within the Legal Department and externally
• Provide legal policies, memoranda, and advice to support business development
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments through continuous education and legal watch
• Comply with internal and external legal standards and collaborate with regional and global Legal teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law or professional legal experience
• More than 10 years of experience in a corporate legal team or law firm
• Proven experience in problem-solving and legal risk management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to function effectively within a global financial institution
• Native level Japanese; business level English
