An international manufacturing company is looking for Business Development Manager. The selected candidate will promote products and solutions to build a strong market presence and maintain customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Advocate strategic objectives and value-based selling to support customer decisions
- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and building a pipeline for new energy projects and lifecycle services
- Forecast sales accurately and deliver results that align with profitability and risk guidelines
- Oversee order intake and order book for new engine-based projects
- Own customer relationships and develop tailored business cases based on customer needs
- Execute the country strategy and maintain sales data in CRM with regular updates
- Develop long-term customer relationships by supporting their decision-making and ensuring satisfaction
- Lead proposal strategies, negotiate contracts, and coordinate tasks with stakeholders
- Conduct technical and contractual negotiations, ensuring quality and compliance with commercial and risk standards
- Engage with key stakeholders, including policymakers, utilities, project developers, and financiers, to support customers' decision-making with a lifecycle perspective
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or economics
- 5-7 years of experience in the power industry in a business development position
- Experience in an independent power producer (IPP), utility, OEM, consultancy, etc.
- Proven experience with top tier management consulting or investing firms and governmental energy regulator
- Knowledge of local laws, regulatory frameworks, and business requirements for operating in the commercial energy sector.
- Native level Japanese; proficient in verbal and written English
