調香師/ Perfumer

A global leader in the fragrance and flavour industry is seeking a skilled Perfumer. The successful candidate will lead the research, development, and formulation of exquisite fine fragrances and cosmetic compounds tailored to market trends and client needs.

Responsibilities:

• Research and develop innovative fragrance compounds for fine fragrances and cosmetic applications
• Create precise fragrance formulations that align with current market trends and specific client requirements
• Propose and present original fragrance creations to clients from a technical formulation perspective
• Ensure fragrance stability and adaptability across diverse product categories such as shampoos and fabric softeners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate olfactory concepts into commercialised market products

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• More than 10 years of experience as a perfumer at a fragrance company, either in Japan or overseas
• Experience developing fragrances while considering customer regulations and stability or adaptability across product categories
• Knowledge of customer products and proven experience with fragrances adopted in commercialised market products
• Experience explaining and proposing fragrance creations to clients from a technical or formulation perspective
• Strong olfactory memory of fragrance raw materials and the ability to create formulations using individual raw materials
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of chemistry with a specific focus on organic and fragrance chemistry
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite
