アナリティカルサイエンスサイエンティスト R&D/ Analytical Science Scientist R&D

A multinational materials and chemical organisation is looking for an Analytical Science – Associate Research Scientist. The selected candidate will provide advanced analytical expertise, develop new analytical capabilities, and support R&D and business teams through solution-driven scientific analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Foster a safe and inclusive working environment
• Apply advanced spectrometry and microscopy techniques, including NMR, FTIR, SEM, AFM, XRD, GC, GC/MS, LC, and GPC
• Provide solution-driven analytical support and develop new methods to address technical challenges
• Lead local analytical science activities as a technical focal point and drive functional excellence
• Partner with APAC and global R&D teams to deliver analytical support and consultation
• Initiate and manage analytical capability development projects from proposal to delivery
• Generate high-quality LIMS reports and document technical learnings internally
• Collaborate with global analytical and cross-functional R&D teams
• Build internal and external recognition for analytical expertise
• Manage laboratory instruments and maintain accurate records
• Proactively drive intellectual property through invention disclosures and filings

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or above in chemical science, material science, or a related analytical discipline
• 5-8 years of working experience
• Hands-on experience in spectrometry and microscopy techniques
• Skilled in chromatography and advanced analytical instrumentation
• Proficient in Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Related industry experience
• Experience with silicone materials
