A global leader in advanced materials is seeking an Advanced Engineer - Process Technology. The selected candidate will lead the development and optimisation of chemical processes and products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process development and scale-up efforts for new products and process optimisations
• Collaborate with R&D chemists and engineers to enhance safety, cost efficiency, yield, and quality
• Develop cost estimates for new products and process improvements
• Drive process safety improvement programs and productivity initiatives
• Build a strong internal network to share best practices across global functions
• Support safety culture changes and manage safety reviews for trials and plant operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering
• More than 3 years of industrial experience
• Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical tolerancing, robust design
• Strong EHS and safety ethics, with knowledge in statistics and data analysis
• Ability to travel overseas and work in laboratory and plant environments
• Willingness to work off-shifts and weekends for plant trials and process support
• Possess a valid qualification in Six Sigma, Lean Sigma, 5S, or DFSS training
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
