オペレーションズマネージャー/ Operations Manager

A mineral exploration company is looking for an Operations Manager, HSE & Logistics. The selected candidate will ensure alignment and operational efficiency by coordinating with contractors, stakeholders, and management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all logistics and HSE functions supporting exploration projects
• Coordinate logistics, site setup, vehicles, fuel, supplies, and contractor support to meet project requirements
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for timely project delivery
• Provide operational support to geology, exploration, and drilling teams in advancing mineral exploration projects
• Act as Chief Safety Management Supervisor (CSMS) for active drilling programs in accordance with METI
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies, and reporting requirements
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and lead safety meetings
• Promote a strong safety culture and provide leadership and mentorship to field teams
• Support community engagement and build positive relationships with stakeholders, including local governments, forestry offices, private companies, and residents
• Maintain project records, reports, and support administrative tasks related to logistics and safety

Requirements:

• More than 15 years of experience in mining, exploration, construction, forestry, or other field-based project operations
• More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role
• Basic level MS Office, and common mobile apps for communication and reporting
• Strong knowledge of HSE systems, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices
• Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, audits, and safety meetings
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, contractors, and crews in remote or complex environments
• Field experience, managing heavy equipment operations and coordinating contractor mobilisation
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Possess a valid driver’s licence
• Possess a valid First Aid certification is preferred
• Professional level Japanese; Basic level written and verbal English
