シニアアプリケーションエンジニア/ Senior Application Engineer

An international consumer goods manufacturer is looking for a Senior Application Engineer. The chosen applicant will be in charge of field visits, product recommendations, lab support, and leading customer and development projects. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field visits to end-users to understand habits, application specifics, and analyse competitor landscape
• Provide product recommendations, product application demonstrations, and technical visits
• Work with application equipment to deliver solutions that enhance customer adhesive-related processes
• Support standardisation of technical documents and ensure data consistency across all platforms
• Handle laboratory work independently for customer samples and report technical results
• Lead multiple projects in parallel and support customer and product development projects with adhesive technical expertise
• Serve as application engineer for the camera module business and report quality issues or customer claims to relevant teams
• Leverage customer feedback to optimise current offerings and identify new business opportunities for sales and marketing colleagues
• Communicate with sales, marketing, product development, innovation teams, technical field teams, and project team members both domestically and overseas
• Stay updated on the latest applications in the electronics and adhesive industry

Requirements:

• Chemical, engineering, or technical education relevant to polymer science, chemical, or mechanical technology
• More than 7 years of engineering experience in the adhesive or electronics industry
• Experience with sealants, adhesives and functional materials such as electrical and thermal conductive
• Technical background for the analysis of adhesive technologies is preferred
• Testing capability for Tensile test, adhesive strength, dispensing process, Microscope (Optical, SEM), chemical structure analysis (IR, EDX, GC-MS, GPC, NMR), rheology (Viscosity, DMA, TMA), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA), electrical/thermal property, UV curing
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
