Head of Talent Development

A multinational fashion company is seeking a Head of Talent Development to drive leadership growth and succession planning across its brands. The selected candidate will design and implement talent development strategies, oversee cross-brand programs, and represent Japan in global initiatives. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and execution of talent strategies to strengthen leadership and future capabilities
• Partner with HRBPs and leaders to establish and monitor individual development and succession plans
• Conduct talent reviews and maintain an updated organisational talent map
• Identify and nurture high-potential employees, building sustainable talent pipelines
• Oversee cross-brand learning and development initiatives to promote alignment and capability growth
• Represent Japan in global discussions, sharing insights and best practices to support worldwide talent agendas

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• 5-7 years of experience in HR or talent development within global, matrixed organisation
• Experience in HRBP
• Prior experience partnering with business leaders
• Proven B2C industry experience (fashion, beauty, luxury, consumer goods)
• Background in retail is ideal
• Prior background working across brands/business units
• Knowledge of talent strategy
• Professional level Japanese and English
