ストアオペレーションディレクター/ Store Operations Director
A global fashion eCommerce company is looking for a Store Operations Director. The chosen applicant will be responsible for overseeing the launch, daily operations, and performance of all physical retail stores.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the operational strategy to integrate physical stores with the online platform and ensure a seamless customer journey
- Lead operational planning and execution for new store openings, including site readiness, staffing, inventory allocation, and system setup
- Establish and enforce operational policies, visual merchandising standards, safety procedures, and customer service protocols
- Manage overall P&L for all stores, including revenue targets, operating expenses, and profitability
- Monitor, analyse, and report on key KPIs such as traffic, conversion, ATV, UPT, and shrinkage and implement corrective actions
- Develop annual operating budgets, manage CAPEX, and allocate resources efficiently
- Oversee logistics and supply chain processes to ensure accurate inventory flow, replenishment, and returns
- Implement loss prevention strategies and inventory audit processes to minimise shrinkage
- Select and maintain store technology systems, including POS, inventory tools, and foot traffic solutions
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training for store managers and staff with a focus on brand knowledge and customer service excellence
- Set performance expectations, conduct reviews, and drive development plans for store management teams
- Serve as the communication bridge between headquarters and store teams to ensure alignment on strategy, marketing, and operational updates
Requirements:
- More than 8 years of progressive experience in Retail Operations
- More than 4 years of experience in a Director or Senior Multi-Unit Management role
- Mandatory experience in the Japanese fashion, apparel, or specialised retail market, demonstrating a deep understanding of local consumer behaviour and business practices
- Proven track record of successfully opening and scaling a new fleet of stores or managing a large, high-volume retail portfolio
- Expertise in retail finance, P&L management, labour planning, and inventory control
- Native level Japanese; business level written and verbal English
Preferred requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above in business administration, retail management, or supply chain management
- Experience in an omnichannel or digitally native brand (DTC) environment, specifically implementing O4O or Click & Collect functionalities
- Familiarity with Korean business culture and a passion for K-fashion/K-
culture trends
