An international athletic apparel retailer is looking for an MD Planner to lead the MD team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing merchandising, sales and eCommerce strategies to exceed KPIs and goals set for each seasons.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the planning process to maximize sales, margin and profit and eCommerce channel of the company
• Oversee sales forecasting, OTB, inventory levels and SKU count
• Track and communicate all key KPIs to the Retail Buyer, Allocator, Head of MD, Country Retail Director and other stake holders
• Deliver a buy strategy per season and build the most profitable, balanced, customer focused range for the country which reflects the Brand Strategy for the FPS and eCom channel and key country strategies
• Manage the in-season trading
• Training and develop direct reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Business
• 3+ years’ experience in planning and allocation, ideally with 1+ years in a similar position
• Experience in the apparel or footwear industry highly preferred
• Competency in using MS application, advanced level skills in Excel
• Business level verbal and written proficiency in both Japanese and English
