Front End Development Director

A global semiconductor company seeks a Director, Front End Technology Development Procurement Capital. The selected candidate will oversee global category strategies, cost optimisation, and strategic supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the global Technology Development (TD) Capital Equipment team to develop category strategies and optimise costs
• Establish and monitor category performance metrics to identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver strategic solutions for equipment and spares
• Lead TD Procurement team in Hiroshima, aligning with Boise TD team and ensuring clear communication with suppliers
• Develop and implement Global Procurement strategies, processes, and policies
• Mentor TD Supplier Managers, execute projects, and foster team development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration/Management or Engineering
• More than 10 years of experience in International Business or Semiconductor Business
• 3-5 years of experience in Global Category Manager roles
• Familiarity with semiconductor technologies preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally
• Possess a valid authorisation to work in Japan
• Proficient in Japanese
