R&Dエンジニア/ R&D Engineer

An international adhesives and sealants company is looking for an R&D Engineer. The selected candidate will drive technical innovation and lead cross-functional projects to support customer growth and product development. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage technical relationships with key customers
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams under the innovation process
• Develop account strategies to support sustainable business growth
• Identify customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations
• Support product qualification processes and customer training
• Represent technical interests at industry events and trade shows
• Provide data-driven technical solutions using statistical analysis
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Build internal and external reports in both Japanese and English
• Contribute to market and industry knowledge-building through collaboration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in polymer science, materials science or related field
• Practical experience in a related technical or R&D role
• Prior experience with customer engagement, technical service, or project management
• Experience with product industrialisation, statistical analysis, DOE, or polymer chemistry is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Minitab
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Proficient in written and verbal English
