A renowned packaging company is looking for a Field Service Engineer - Automation. The selected candidate will support the global service organisation and local service providers, ensuring customer satisfaction and securing aftersales service revenues.

Responsibilities:

• Promote technical solutions to local customers in collaboration with the local sales manager
• Manage localisation activities such as assembly, service parts stock, and customisation for local needs
• Visit customers to propose aftersales products and liaise with Aftersales and Service managers
• Install, commission, maintain, and repair automation equipment while training customers and third-party service providers
• Advise the sales manager on serviceability during the prospection phase
• Support installations, site acceptance tests (SAT), go-live processes, and other testing/commissioning tasks
• Provide training to customers and third-party operators/technicians
• Troubleshoot customer machine issues on-site or remotely via hotline
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on machines
• Submit service work orders, visit reports, and required documentation on time

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
• More than 5 years of experience in a related field with automated packaging machinery
• Experience working with PLCs from vendors
• Strong mechanical/electronic skills
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Basic sales skills and ability to build and maintain customer relationships
• Skilled in MS Office Suite
• Native level Japanese; proficient in English
