アプリケーションエンジニア/ Application Engineer

A global chemical manufacturer is looking for an Application Engineer - Power Electronics. The selected candidate will support the assembly and testing of power electronics components while collaborating closely with laboratory functions.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with laboratory colleagues and report to the Regional Director
• Maintain 5S in the laboratory to ensure a safe working environment
• Operate specific processing equipment, including P&P machines, Reflow ovens, and Environmental test chambers
• Conduct periodic maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Support sample build campaigns by designing and utilising specialised tools
• Conduct failure mode analysis, identify defects, and propose improvement solutions
• Assist in writing technical papers and presentations for the commercial team
• Travel globally to engage in customer support and optimise production line processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or technical discipline
• More than 3 years in the Semiconductor Assembly field
• Experience in manual work, including machine assembly and disassembly
• Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD)
• Ability and willingness to travel globally
• Professional level Japanese and English
