Head of Healthcare Communication Department

A global communications firm is seeking a Head of Healthcare Communication Department. The selected candidate will drive business growth, strategic leadership, client advisory, and talent development across the healthcare portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Lead business growth, P&L ownership, project delivery, and talent development for the healthcare team
• Define and execute the next phase of the Japan healthcare strategy
• Act as the primary liaison with global teams to expand healthcare offerings and support global clients entering Japan
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior healthcare clients
• Oversee multi-project delivery to ensure quality, timeliness, and budget control
• Lead new business development and position the firm as a healthcare thought leader through industry engagement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 15 years of pharmaceutical or medical device experience
• Prior experience building influential networks
• Proven experience in budget planning and oversight
• Background in campaigns and programs
• Understanding of healthcare industry
• Knowledge of MNC clients
• Proficient in spoken and written Japanese and English
