ビジネスマーケティング/ Head of Japan Business Marketing
A global internet technology company is looking for a Head of Japan Business Marketing. The selected applicant will oversee the full-scale operation of the Japan marketing team and act as the strategic bridge connecting Global and GAPAC functions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead operational planning of the Japan GBM team, collaborating with Global HQ, GAPAC, and business, sales, and product teams
- Align strategic goals, synchronise execution, and resolve cross-regional or cross-functional challenges to ensure end-to-end strategy execution
- Develop and implement Japan-specific commercial marketing and sponsorship strategies based on user insights and market trends
- Launch innovative initiatives such as digital and scenario-based marketing campaigns to elevate brand influence and commercial performance
- Oversee annual and quarterly marketing planning, including online/offline promotions, industry events, and brand collaborations
- Design budget allocations and monitor execution performance to strengthen brand visibility, engagement, and partner perception
- Lead incubation, commercialisation, and long-term management of commercial partnership and sponsorship programs
- Expand partnerships with leading Japanese and multinational brands and drive commercial revenue growth across industries such as Technology, Consumer Goods, and E-commerce
- Develop localised, insight-led content strategies tailored to Japanese consumer behaviours to strengthen brand differentiation
- Lead semi-annual business planning to define priorities and key objectives
- Optimise team resources and GTM execution efficiency in response to Japan’s fast-evolving market environment
- Refine organisational structures and workflows to eliminate bottlenecks, enhance operational efficiency, and build an agile, high-performing marketing organisation
Requirements:
- More than 5 years of professional experience in marketing, business development, or strategic management, with direct involvement in brand promotion, commercialisation, or growth initiatives
- More than 5 years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams of 10 or more members
- Deep understanding of the Japanese market environment, including consumer behaviour, cultural nuances, regulatory context, and the digital ecosystem
- Fluent level written and verbal Japanese; business level written and verbal English
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in marketing, business administration, international business, or Japanese studies
- Candidates with interdisciplinary backgrounds (Marketing+Japanese, Management+Data Analytics)
- Established industry networks or partnerships with brands, agencies, associations, or media/KOL resources in Japan
- Proficient in written and verbal Chinese
