カテゴリー開発マーケティングリーダー/ Category Development Marketing Leader
A global manufacturing company is looking for a Category Development Marketing Leader. The selected applicant will own category growth by executing category and portfolio strategies in the country based on deep consumer understanding.
Responsibilities:
- Adapt area portfolio strategy and marketing plan for specific regions or countries
- Analyse portfolio, market, and competitors to develop plans and storytelling that drive category growth
- Communicate and align with all country functions for portfolio strategy and programs
- Manage portfolio lifecycle, including RA, packaging, product availability, and support PACE
- Understand consumer behaviour and identify unmet needs to influence area/global portfolio teams in product innovation
- Launch new products in the country/region with a comprehensive marketing plan
- Establish base price strategy for each portfolio to achieve standard margin
- Develop price increase plans to optimise margins and address inflation or cost changes
- Own overall sales growth targets for campaigns in the country or region
- Decide on campaign launch timing based on channel readiness
- Implement campaign strategy locally, defining business objectives and hero SKUs
- Examine syndicated data to identify key growth opportunities and lead projects to gain or recover market share
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Proven marketing experience at FMCG companies
- Channel or category experience
- Ability to develop a strategy and guide others to implement the communicated strategy
- Strong collaboration skills enabling program execution, including presentation skills
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and excellent team collaboration abilities
- Fluent level written and verbal Japanese and English
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in sales
