HSEマネージャー/ HSE Manager

A multinational biopharmaceutical company is looking for an HSE Manager. The selected candidate will lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives, strengthen workplace wellbeing and sustainability programs, and drive compliance across the organisation in partnership with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies and programmes across the organisation
• Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure safe working practices
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and workers’ compensation regulations
• Deliver HSE training programmes including road safety and ergonomics initiatives
• Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective action programmes
• Manage HSE systems including risk assessments, contractor compliance, accident reporting, and facility audits
• Lead sustainability initiatives including energy efficiency and recycling programmes
• Support employee wellbeing through health promotion and wellness programmes
• Collaborate with Workplace Experience, occupational health, and People & Culture teams to maintain a safe and sustainable workplace

Requirements:

• Experience in HSE within a multinational or matrix organisation
• Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements
• Experience developing and managing HSE management systems
• Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
• Native level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Possess a valid HSE Professional certification and Infectious Waste Management and Control certification
