A global leader in contract research organisation (CRO) is seeking an Executive Director for Business Development. The selected candidate will lead and manage business development efforts, ensuring strategic growth and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior sales leaders on client selection strategy and account development plans
- Manage and develop a team of Account Executives, providing coaching and leadership
- Hire and develop talent for new and open territories
- Assign accounts, set territory sales goals, and ensure order delivery
- Facilitate negotiations on margin and pricing, both internally and externally
- Monitor team performance, operating expenses, and provide feedback and development plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in life science or business field (advanced degree is ideal)
- More than 10 years of sales or relevant experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors
- Proven experience in client retention, managing difficult situations, and leading client-facing teams
- Extensive global collaboration experience and strong customer orientation
- Advanced industry knowledge with direct interaction with mid-level and executive decision-makers
- Ability and willingness to travel
- Proficient in written and verbal English
