MSL (Ophthalmology)

A multinational pharmaceutical company is looking for an MSL Staff / MSL Manager. The selected candidate will drive scientific exchange with KOLs, support medical education initiatives, and contribute to evidence generation and medical strategy execution.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with KOLs as a scientific peer to share and discuss clinical data, study protocols, and published literature
• Respond to scientific inquiries from medical societies and support advisory board activities
• Participate in congresses and conventions to build relationships and gather scientific and competitive insights
• Plan and coordinate scientific education and training sessions within the therapeutic area
• Prepare timely reports summarising field insights and activity performance
• Support investigator-initiated research, including idea collection, study setup, and progress coordination
• Contribute to KOL identification, profiling, segmentation, and engagement planning in line with Medical Affairs strategy
• Provide scientific support to Medical Advisors and Market Access teams, including formulary presentations
• Act as an internal scientific resource supporting training and responding to medical inquiries from Sales Representatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• More than 2 years of experience in a Medical Affairs or MSL role
• Experience in ophthalmology for candidates without MA or MSL experience
• Strong numerical aptitude with the ability to analyse data and derive actionable insights
• Fluent level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in ophthalmology
• Experience as a Medical Representative in ophthalmology
