Project Head

An international pharmaceutical company is seeking a Project Head. The selected candidate will oversee end-to-end project management from early development through product launch, aligning strategies across global and local levels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic development plans aligned with global project and financial strategies
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate with global and local stakeholders
• Design clinical development strategies and oversee protocol creation and data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive scenario planning
• Author scientific and clinical publications to support communication strategies
• Build strong partnerships with patients, medical societies, and key opinion leaders for early launch readiness
• Drive process efficiency, digital innovation, and continuous improvement within project teams
• Incorporate patient and market insights into development and submission strategies
• Manage budgets, personnel, and resources effectively to achieve project goals
• Serve as an ambassador for Japan R&D in internal and external initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in life sciences or related field
• More than 10 years of experience in drug development within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or biotechnology industries
• Proven experience in project leadership, clinical trial operations, and regulatory submissions (CSR, J-NDA)
• Proficient in risk management, governance, and cross-functional collaboration
• Fluent level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, or MD)
• Prior clinical experience in local medical or clinical settings
• Cross-functional work experience (medical and commercial)
• Digital project experience
