価格戦略グループディレクター/ Pricing Group Director

An international pharmaceutical company is seeking a Pricing Group Director. The selected candidate will drive pricing negotiations, develop strategy alignment, and ensure optimal business outcomes through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Pricing Group to achieve successful pricing outcomes for new drug listings and revisions
• Develop and mentor team members to strengthen group expertise and capabilities
• Drive strategic pricing negotiations with MHLW and manage all preparation processes
• Evaluate pricing potential of pipeline products in collaboration with Market Access teams
• Provide insights and analysis on pricing environment changes to support business planning
• Align pricing strategies with internal stakeholders and global Market Access teams
• Build and maintain relationships with MHLW officials to support favourable outcomes
• Represent the company in trade association discussions on pricing system reforms

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Science, Economics, Pharmacy, or a related field
• Proven experience leading pricing negotiations with MHLW for new drug listings
• Experience developing new drug price assumptions and forecasts
• Strong understanding of NHI pricing regulations and Japan’s healthcare environment
• Experience working with multinational pharmaceutical companies and trade associations
• Fluent level Japanese; business level English

Preferred requirements:

• Prior experience in leading a team as a manager
• Experience in cost-effectiveness assessment
• Knowledge of clinical development
• Familiarity with operating in a global business
• Excellent PC skills
• Good cultural awareness and exposure to global working
• Possess a valid Pharmacist or medical licence
