バイヤー/ Buyer

An international automotive manufacturer is seeking a Buyer. The selected candidate will manage supplier relationships, optimise purchasing performance, and drive innovation in sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Follow company philosophy emphasising premium products and outstanding quality
• Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of purchasing operations
• Procure goods, commodities, and services in line with project and departmental targets
• Monitor, maintain, and manage procurement-related data in ERP systems and other files
• Evaluate, select, and develop suppliers to meet performance and quality standards
• Drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and supplier flexibility initiatives
• Manage supplier contracts and ensure compliance with targets and regulations
• Identify process improvements and propose corrective actions
• Foster innovation by leveraging supplier capabilities and new technologies
• Support projects and product modifications, ensuring smooth operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Multiple years of professional experience in purchasing within the automotive industry
• Proven technical knowledge of purchasing procedures, materials, and production methods
• Skilled in lean manufacturing, including VE/VA, Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement techniques
• Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO14001, and QM tools such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA basics, SPC basics, and MSA basics
• Proficient in ERP systems, IMDS, and basic PC applications
• Business level Japanese and English (TOEIC 700+)
