直接調達/ Direct Procurement

A multinational automotive company is looking for a Direct Procurement / Lead Purchaser. The selected candidate will develop supplier strategies, manage sourcing processes, and drive cost improvements through supplier negotiations and development initiatives. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop material and supplier strategies through market analysis and cross-functional collaboration
• Initiate and manage the New Supplier Introduction process
• Define annual supplier lists for material groups and align with category strategy
• Influence sourcing processes by selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and preparing sourcing decisions
• Perform annual negotiations to optimise cost efficiency and manage escalations
• Negotiate changes with suppliers and apply advanced negotiation concepts for bundling
• Ensure compliance by negotiating and concluding legally binding contracts with suppliers
• Support cost reduction programs through re-design and supplier improvement initiatives
• Drive supplier development aligned with business strategy and technology roadmap
• Support supplier process development and sub-supplier management in collaboration with stakeholders
• Conduct gap analysis at suppliers, initiate corrective actions, and escalate when necessary
• Coach suppliers on process readiness and support releases with SQM via VDA 6.3 audits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Technical studies, Engineering, or relevant professional experience
• More than 5 years of experience in Purchasing or Supplier Development
• Experience working with international teams in purchasing, quality, operations, engineering, and supply chain
• Understanding of global cultures, including NAFTA, Asia, and Europe
• Proven capability to negotiate and collaborate across different cultures
• Professional level Japanese and English
