Head of Procurement

A global luxury goods company is looking for a Head of Procurement to lead the procurement function and establish best practices in local purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and enforce procurement policies and guidelines in compliance with corporate standards
• Improve procurement processes and monitor their effectiveness
• Collaborate with Finance and Internal Control to ensure Purchase-to-Pay processes comply with regulations
• Maintain and manage Procurement dashboards and KPIs to drive performance
• Educate stakeholders on proper procurement processes through training and communication
• Develop procurement strategies for major categories, including retail fit-out, advertising, and general expenses
• Optimise sourcing strategies and participate in supplier selection processes
• Identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities within local and regional operations
• Lead major sourcing projects from RFP/tender to delivery
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure conflict-free partnerships and optimise performance
• Provide key statistics and analysis on procurement activities to senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 8-10 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain with a focus on indirect categories
• 3-5 years of people management experience
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
• Skilled in MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Fluent level written and verbal English and Japanese
