A global food manufacturer is looking for a New Product Launch Project Manager. The chosen applicant will be responsible for the project management of the new product launch and registration and management of product master data.
Description:
- This position is responsible for two areas, 1) project management of new product launch (promotional pack and DC exclusive product), 2) registration and management of product master data,
- Through accurate registration of the product master, he/she delivers on-time product launches. As a Key User, he/she ensures the quality of master data, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of all systems/processes referring to the product master data.
- He/she improves the agility and efficiency of new product projects, contributing to the business growth.
- This position would be required to come to the Tokyo office at least 40% of working days.
Responsibilities:
New Product Project Management:
- Lead new product launch projects (promotional packs, DC exclusive products), taking the activity management role. Create project timeline, monitor the progress of each task, and coordinate multiple, x-functional stakeholders. He/she also leads package development and artwork development with external vendors.
- Support MKTG, Sales, and DC teams to plan promotional pack / DC exclusive product strategy. Ensure to have the most efficient and effective project plan by utilizing existing technologies and resources. Keep process standards and governance.
- This role takes ownership of project on-time delivery, efficiency, and quality, but not owning sales results and go/no go decisions.
Registration and quality management of product master:
- Conduct product master registration operation (Veritas/SAP MDG), with extensive knowledge on system architecture and process flow.
- Supervise the team member (contractor) who mainly conducts product master registrations.
- Ensure the quality of the product master data by improving related process flow and operation.
- As a Key User for SAP MDG (master data) and Veritas (product specification DB), he/she handles any troubleshooting and CIP program in collaboration with the regional/global FE of Veritas/SAP MDG.
- Articulate and escalate the challenges and/or issues that require support from upper managers.
- Heighten perspective, collaborate, and influence within cross-functional teams and within function by utilizing own expertise.
- Effectively understand each other genuinely. Actively listen to stakeholders and check for understanding.

- Contribute to team engagement of the Product Master Team, Activity Management Team, and the whole SCM team.
- Support the line manager in developing the team members through activities such as peer assistance, coaching, and teaching.
Requirements:
Education & Professional Qualifications:
- BA
- English Advanced Level
- Japanese (JLPT N1 level)
Knowledge / Experience:
- Product master management experience
- Product development project management experience
- SAP knowledge is a plus

Working Hours
- 原則9:00-17:15(休憩60 分)
