物流スペシャリスト/ Logistics Specialist

A multinational chemical company is looking for a Logistics Specialist. The selected candidate will manage import/export and domestic transportation, optimise logistics processes, and ensure cost-effective, compliant, and timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities:

• Arrange transportation of domestic and export orders across air, sea, road, and multi-mode transport
• Coordinate with internal teams and third-party logistics providers to execute shipments efficiently
• Manage import/export processes, including customs clearance, trans-shipment, and marine vessel shipments
• Conduct root cause investigations and escalate issues related to damaged packages or logistics complaints
• Use KPI systems to monitor and review supplier and internal performance
• Drive process improvements, including system automation, cost savings, and time optimisation
• Support freight tender implementation and service/contract changes in systems and processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in the Chemistry field is ideal
• 3-5 years of experience in Import/Export, Logistics, Planning, or Strategic Sourcing
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Power BI)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Good verbal and written Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience in Six Sigma or Lean project leadership
• Skilled in data analysis
• Additional Asian language capability
