シニアカスタマー品質エンジニア/ Senior Customer Quality Engineer

A global high-tech manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Customer Quality Engineer. The selected candidate will ensure product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction by effectively resolving issues and communicating with internal teams and external clients. This is a hybrid setup role.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate communication of product quality and reliability performance to customers and internal teams
• Identify, analyse, and resolve product performance, quality, and reliability issues at customer sites
• Interface with key customers to review scorecards, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction
• Drive resolution of customer complaints and track field failure rates of delivered products
• Review and interpret customer specifications and test requirements for internal teams
• Act as the company’s representative in communicating commitment to quality and reliability
• Challenge existing processes and propose improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
• Proactively anticipate and address customer needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
• More than 8 years of hands-on experience in the lasers, photonics, or optics industry
• More than 5 years of customer-supplier interaction experience
• Experience in Laser, Optics, or Semiconductor manufacturing processes, including testing, production, and quality control
• Experience with audits, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive actions
• Proficient in Quality and Reliability methodologies and tools (8D, FAI, FMEA, DMAIC, Gage R&R, DFx, DOE, Six Sigma, MSA)
• Knowledge of clean room environments, ISO 9001:2015, LEAN, and Six Sigma
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically or internationally
• Possess a valid ASQ CQE or CQM certification
• Fluent level Japanese; strong proficiency English

Preferred requirements:

• Technical knowledge applicable to photonics, optics, opto-mechanical and electro-optical, lasers and motion/vibration control
• Possess a valid ISO 9001 standard and certified QMS auditor
