マテリアルプランナー/ Material Planner

An international automotive technology company is looking for a Material Planner. The selected candidate will manage material planning, procurement, inventory control, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the ordering of direct and indirect materials based on demand forecasts, production plans, and lead times
• Maintain accurate demand and supply projections and update the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system
• Monitor inventory levels, maintain target safety stock, and execute replenishment activities
• Identify inventory risks including shortages, expiration, and optimisation opportunities through regular analysis
• Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), process purchase requisitions, and monitor open orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality, lead time, and logistics issues
• Work closely with manufacturing, product development, and logistics teams to align material requirements and resolve operational challenges
• Analyse inventory, supplier performance, and supply chain data to improve processes, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Business/Data Analytics, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in material planning, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field
• Proficiency in MRP system operations
• Strong data analysis capabilities with a data-driven decision-making approach
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and risk management skills
• Fluent level English and Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Master’s degree
