地域カテゴリーマネージャー/ Regional Category Manager

A global electronics manufacturing company is looking for a Regional Category Manager. The selected candidate will lead supplier relationship management, execute procurement strategies, and drive cost, performance, and supply assurance across strategic Japanese suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier relationship management and execute category procurement strategies for strategic suppliers in Japan
• Organise business reviews, technology roadmap discussions, tradeshow coordination, and supplier performance evaluations
• Drive supplier flexibility, agility, and cost competitiveness in a fast-paced sourcing environment
• Align supplier technical roadmaps, evaluations, and segmentation with product and business unit priorities
• Support RFI and RFQ activities, manage pricing data, and prepare supplier negotiations to deliver savings and value
• Build executive-level supplier partnerships, monitor market trends and risks, and communicate insights to senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business or engineering
• More than 10 years of experience in a combination of procurement focused on electronics category, sourcing, and engineering
• Experience in pricing and contract negotiation
• Prior experience managing electronic component subcategories
• Understanding of the semiconductor category including market dynamics, technology, production process, and advanced sourcing techniques
• Knowledge of product development process
• Professional level Japanese and English

Preferred requirements:

• Understanding of optical module architecture, active electrical cables, passive optical components and industry roadmaps for current and next-generation bandwidth platforms (400G, 800G, 1.6T)
• Knowledge of critical component technologies for datacentres and optical networks
  including silicon photonics, laser diodes, photonic integrated circuits (PIC), co-packaged optics, isolators, and optical DSP solutions
