サプライチェーンマネジメントディレクター/ SCM Director

A global medical company is looking for an SCM Director. The chosen applicant will be responsible for overseeing operations across APAC, managing warehouse, distribution, and service functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and establish current and future 3PL partnerships across the region (Japan in operation, other APAC areas in planning and preparation)
• Oversee all regional transportation in alignment with the global transportation strategy
• Manage regional purchasing activities in collaboration with global procurement
• Own budget management and supplier relationships
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and other key projects
• Support implementation of necessary IT infrastructure for efficient operations
• Represent the supply chain function in collaboration with regional business teams
• Ensure strong global operational alignment and collaboration with other regions
• Strengthen organisation, processes, and systems to sustain future growth
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure efficient operations
• Set and manage performance targets for direct reports
• Ensure compliance with Company Quality System requirements
• Lead people and team development initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain/logistics, business, engineering or similar
• 7-10 years working in operations or equivalent
• 7-10 years of managerial experience
• Prior Asia Pacific experience is a plus (Launching an operations centre for SCM in APAC is highly preferred)
• Working knowledge of operations policies, processes, and procedures as a user and author
• Understanding of ERP systems (SAP is desirable)
• Experience in Medical Device or Pharma is a plus
• Experience in a strong growth environment is a plus
• Proficient in Japanese and English; other languages is a plus
