Supply Chain Director

A global food and beverage manufacturer is seeking a Supply Chain Director. The selected candidate will lead the supply chain operations, manage forecasting, procurement, and ensure efficient production and delivery. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, inspire, motivate and develop a professional Supply Chain team.
• Keep improving the sales forecasts by developing planning strategies and managing the forecasting process with the Sales team.
• Maintaining an excellent Service Level.
• Assure timely procurement from each production site overseas/Japan with the best planning skills and dealing with constraints such as lead-time, production capacity and MOQ. Keep the optimum stock level and minimize the obsolete stock.
• Develop the supply chain network from the production site to the customers most efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Ensure the efficient production plan of the multiple local production sites by continuing to create a cooperative relationship with the contracted manufacturers.
• Negotiate and manage the local purchasing of the raw & packaging materials and optimize the cost of local production.
• Deal with customer complaints on SCM-related issues.
• Continuously initiate, support & manage supply chain improvements in the following areas: material flows, cost reduction, lead time compression, working capital optimization, collaboration with best value partners, SKU management, and supply chain design.
• Implement and lead a monthly S&OP process with the concerned parties.
• Manage and interpret supply chain KPIs by providing their impacts & root cause analysis monthly; take appropriate actions when needed.

Requirements:

Profile:

• University Degree
• Minimum 10 years of relevant SCM experience specifically in the areas of planning and logistics, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
• Minimum 5-10 years of people/team management
• Fluent Japanese and English (business).
• ICT: MRP/ERP (Specifically SAP), MS Office, Power BI
