An international e-commerce company is looking for a Senior Instock Manager. The chosen applicant will be responsible for planning and executing inventory as well as sourcing optimisation strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing inventory as well as sourcing optimisation strategies to increase sales, in-stock rates, cost saving, inventory turns, and health for owned category
- Analysing and managing own key performance indicators such as in-stock rate, demand forecast accuracy, procurement lead time, fill rate, inventory turns, and cost-to-serve
- Developing and enhancing SCM systems by cooperating and reviewing with system teams
- Forecasting and managing efficient inbound and outbound inventory flows and health including forecasting, purchasing, and removing unproductive inventory
- Driving root cause analysis and reporting for operational/system issues, developing action plans, and leading projects while managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
- Collaborating with multiple internal teams to drive purchasing-process improvements and automation by inventing and simplifying new operations and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above (MBA is a plus)
- More than 5 years of supply chain, operations, inventory management, or project management experience
- Experience working with complex data sets and process improvement techniques (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma)
- Software development experience or equivalent tech background is preferred
- Experience with SQL is advantageous
- Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
