An SCM role is now open in a multinational industrial machinery manufacturer. The qualified applicant will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels to ensure safety volume is maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Update customer forecasts and schedules in a timely manner
- Identify savings initiatives and drive prioritised initiatives
- Obtain and analyse quotes to determine the best value
- Maintain ongoing communications with customers to monitor schedules and forecasts
- Coordinate and resolve problems that affect mass production and logistics, packaging, scheduling, etc.
- Work with finance for on-time billing completion
- Support audit activities related to purchasing and logistics
- Develop key suppliers into strategic partners
- Ensure compliance with corporate sourcing policy and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in supply chain, engineering, business administration, industrial engineering, or other related fields
- More than 5 years of experience in material planning, production control, or logistics
- Background in ERP-SAP system (SD, PP, WM, Module) is advantageous
- Experience in developing and creating workflow and work standards relate to logistics
- Knowledge of procurement and global sourcing
- Strong price and contract negotiation skills
- Native level Japanese (C2+); intermediate level English (B1)
