オペレーションズディレクター/ Director of Operations

A global luxury eyewear company is looking for a Director of Operations. The selected candidate will lead end-to-end supply chain and operations across manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and warehousing while driving operational excellence at a global scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end operations across manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and warehousing
• Build, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams across production, inventory, logistics, and vendor management
• Drive operational strategy, annual planning, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Oversee daily operations with manufacturing partners and internal production teams
• Align production schedules, capacity planning, and quality standards with global demand
• Strengthen relationships with factories, suppliers, and finishing partners to ensure quality and reliability
• Manage global logistics, import and export compliance, distribution centres, and 3PL performance
• Optimise warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, fulfilment processes, and SLAs
• Develop scalable distribution strategies supporting new markets, retail expansion, and wholesale channels
• Communicate operational performance, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership
• Champion the use of ERP, production planning tools, and quality tracking systems
• Leverage data and technology to improve workflows, automation, and operational visibility

Requirements:

• More than 10 years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing
• More than 5 years of experience in distribution-focused leadership roles
• Experience in distribution-focused leadership roles within complex global environments
• Proven experience managing global distribution and production workflows
• Proficient in ERP systems, planning tools, and operational technologies
• Ability to work cross-culturally with Japan-based factories and global stakeholders
• Native level Japanese; fluent level English

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working in or with Japan-based factories
• Prior luxury or high-craft industry experience
