税関スペシャリスト/ Customs Specialist

A global logistics and supply chain company is looking for a Customs Specialist. The selected candidate will manage end-to-end customs operations to ensure compliant, efficient import and export processes while supporting operational and customer excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Submit customs declaration forms and complete required government procedures to ensure timely clearance
• Execute end-to-end customs activities, including document checks, system data entry, inspections, and third-party coordination
• Oversee loading and unloading activities and escalate defects with follow-up actions
• Respond to customs-related inquiries and resolve disputes, including tariff code classifications
• Develop standard operating procedures, identify business risks, and deliver customs-related training
• Attend customs examinations and ensure required certifications remain valid
• Monitor daily performance of customs-related suppliers
• Arrange product re-classification with customs ruling authorities when required

Requirements:

• Experience in customs operations, import and export processes, and stakeholder coordination
• Proficient in customs documentation, regulatory compliance, dispute handling, and operational workflows
• Professional level Japanese and English
