Director of Operations

A global luxury goods company is looking for a Director of Operations. The selected candidate will manage logistics for fashion, optimising efficiency and leading a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee logistics operations for fashion, fragrance & beauty, and watches & fine jewellery
• Monitor the performance and service level of 3rd party logistics partners
• Manage a team of 3 direct reports and 11 indirect reports
• Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs
• Liaise with business divisions and corporate functions to support business growth and improve customer satisfaction
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Analyse logistics performance metrics and collaborate with 3PL partners to implement improvements
• Lead and mentor the logistics team to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
• More than 10 years of experience in international logistics and supply chain management
• Proven experience in logistics within the retail, cosmetics, or luxury industry
• Skilled in logistics software and systems
• Proven ability to manage and lead teams (minimum of 10 people)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional level Japanese and English
