コマーシャルディレクター/ Commercial Director

A global not-for-profit organisation is looking for a Commercial Director/Lead. The selected candidate will oversee commercial, financial, contract, vendor, compliance, and new business activities for a major programme.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee commercial and financial management of programme and vendor contracts
• Lead annual budget planning, contract settlements, cost control, and payment processes
• Manage contractual compliance, obligations, change requests, operational risks, and audit requirements
• Advise and develop programme teams on commercial, contractual, and risk management matters
• Support new business opportunities through contract development, cost modelling, negotiations, and implementation
• Analyse contract performance, manage stakeholder relationships, and identify improvements to programme efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business or relevant domain (Master’s is a plus)
• Experience in contracts or procurement functions
• Prior project management experience across a range of functions
• Background in engaging with govt officials and staff on a day-to-day basis
• Excellent commercial/ contract management skills
• Native level spoken Japanese

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working on public sector education programmes in Japan
• Prior experience of public sector programme contract management
