Head of Procurement

An IT services provider is searching for a Head of Procurement who will join their Tokyo workforce. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing vendor management operations and supporting the implementation of category plans in an assigned territory.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the negotiation, contract documentation, and procurement of a wide range of vendor expenditure commodities
• Oversee coaching initiatives to support organisational development
• Develop trusted relationships with key business partners, internal clients, and stakeholders
• Manage a strong project pipeline
• Handle key suppliers within assigned categories
• Conduct cost benefit and financial analysis
• Undertake regional and international business trips when needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in business, IT, engineering, or supply chain
• More than 20 years of experience
• Proven success in delivering value added solutions
• Prior experience with Lean or Six Sigma
• Previous experience in overseeing remote or virtual teams
• Skilled in managing customer experience related projects
• Ability and willingness to travel regionally and internationally as needed
