電気エンジニア/ Electrical Engineer

A multinational compliance consulting firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a greenfield Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) facility project. The selected candidate will design, coordinate, and execute electrical systems, ensuring full compliance with Japanese codes, international standards, and GMP requirements. This is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and review electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and grounding
• Coordinate development and approval of drawings such as single-line diagrams, cable layouts, and panel schedules
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, HVAC, CSA, and automation teams for system integration
• Interface with local design institutes and consultants to ensure compliance with Japanese codes and permits
• Review and approve vendor submittals and contractor shop drawings
• Supervise on-site installation, ensuring safety, quality, and design compliance
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and system handover, including FAT, SAT, and loop checks
• Ensure adherence to GMP, GEP, and EHS standards across all project phases
• Support procurement through technical specifications and bid evaluations
• Develop preventive maintenance plans and troubleshoot electrical faults

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical system design and construction in pharmaceutical, biotech, or industrial environments
• Experience with greenfield or brownfield capital projects in regulated industries
• Proficient in electrical design codes and standards (IEC, JIS, NFPA, IEEE) and electrical studies using ETAP or similar tools
• Skilled in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit/BIM is a plus
• Understanding of GMP facility electrical systems, emergency power, and grounding
• Familiarity with HAZOP/SIL/LOPA is an advantage
• Fluent level English; proficient in Japanese is ideal
