ソリューションエンジニア/ Solutions Engineer

A global data centre solutions company is seeking a Solutions Engineer. The selected candidate will contribute to the design and engineering of energy-efficient data centres, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in design activities for multiple data centre projects from concept through development
• Collaborate with global design teams to develop and localise Basis of Design (BoD) and standard specifications for MEP equipment
• Manage and review local design firms’ deliverables across CSA and MEP disciplines
• Coordinate with IT and technology teams to design Security Systems, BMS, and EMPS
• Serve as a liaison between internal functions, including Sales, Procurement, Construction, and regional partners
• Review contractor and vendor proposals for technical and design compliance
• Track data centre industry trends and share relevant technical insights with the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural preferred)
• More than 7 years of experience in design and engineering for construction projects
• More than 5 years of experience in the data centre or a related industry
• Proficient in managing design specifications and local regulatory requirements
• Ability and willingness to travel across Japan and overseas
• Possess valid relevant licenses such as Chief Electrical Engineer, Energy Manager, Building Service Engineer, or Fire Protection Engineer (電気主任技術者, エネルギー管理士, 建築設備士, 消防設備士, LEED APなど)
• Fluent level Japanese; proficient in written and verbal English
