資産管理ディレクター/ Asset Management Director

A global energy company is seeking an Asset Management Director. The selected candidate will lead the strategic, operational, and commercial performance of solar and battery storage assets, ensuring compliance, optimising revenue, and managing internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Manage contractual documentation including EPC, O&M, PPA, FIT/FIP, grid connection, service, and financing agreements
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, grid operators, and financial institutions and coordinate legal matters
• Lead operational and financial reporting including performance, energy generation, and financial metrics
• Review and challenge reports from external asset managers, contractors, and operators
• Oversee energy production, metering, invoicing, and FIT/FIP settlement processes
• Optimise curtailment recovery and storage dispatch to maximise revenue
• Prepare and control operational budgets and conduct variance analysis and cash flow management
• Manage external O&M providers and establish internal maintenance operations to optimise cost and performance
• Oversee performance and governance of external asset management companies and enforce SLAs and KPIs
• Manage storage asset performance including charge and discharge operations and revenue optimisation
• Manage insurance coverage, claims, and operational risks including equipment failure and safety
• Ensure governance, ESG compliance, audit support, and transparency with stakeholders
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across functions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Energy, Finance, or Business
• More than 10 years of experience in asset management
• More than 5 years of experience in solar and/or BESS operations
• Experience managing external asset management companies and internal O&M functions
• Strong understanding of FIT/FIP mechanisms, curtailment management, and the Japanese power market
• Experience with utility-scale solar and storage assets across operational and commercial aspects
• Understanding of Japanese regulatory and renewable energy market structures
• Proficiency in SCADA systems, CMMS platforms, and performance reporting tools
• Professional level English and Japanese
